I bought these to put into cards to send out to people. We don't seem to get enough fun mail nowadays and this definitely did the trick! I love the idea of these butterflies, especially to add to gift cards. They are bright and colorful and a lot of fun when they "fly" out of the card. They are fairly durable because the material is a very lightweight plastic, but can easily get bent by little hands.

I made a couple exploding boxes got birthday gifts for a couple granddaughters. They LOVED the surprise of the butterflies escaping from the box when the lid was lifted up! I also included one in a Valentine’s Day card for another granddaughter and it totally surprised her as it flew away when card was opened. Will buy again. One wing slid off its little arm as I wound it up, but I just added a tiny bit of glue and slid the wing back on and it was fine. Very fun!
